That funny moment

Some funny story.

Mummy was busy locking the door and the gate. She forgot to bring little sister's shoes. She asked 'Did we bring little sister's shoes?' while we were already on our way to the park. The big brother said 'If you ask for them now, surely we didn't bring them.' Luckily, the shoes were already in the car.

When we arrived at the park and everyone was out the car. The big brother realised he didn't bring his shoes. He didn't even wear them when he walked to the car at home. Of course, as a cruel aunty, I laughed out loud. Then, he started blaming his father. The story ended when he had to walk on barefoot.

We tried to find him a pair of shoes. But there wasn't any extra pair of shoes in the car.
What a funny boy?!

p.s. Today is Portfolio Day.

Pinterest

Interesting to me.

I love pinterest ever since I discovered it. Seriously, I'm kind of addicted to it. In a good way of course.

So yeah. This is the link to my pinterest.

But yeah, I pinned mostly on home decor, architecture and fashion. I know it's kind of weird since I'm so not fashionable. It's just something that interesting for me. So, don't judge me. If you know me, I'm sure you know that what ever I pinned didn't reflects me. LOL.

Hope you find something interesting.

Almost.

Assalamualaikum. :)

So, (that is how I start my post with) here I am. In International Islamic University, struggling to the end of first semester. Yes, almost the end. We still got Portfolio Day and examination. All classes are over now. I'm so glad. The very last class was this evening, History and Theory of Architecture. It is called History and Theory of Architecture, but I feel that we learn mostly about history. Never mind. It's an interesting subject anyway.

Let me tell you guys a bit about my first semester as degree student in IIUM. The basic thing you should know, I'm currently studying in Bachelor of Science (Architectural Studies). It's also known as Architecture Part 1. It's just part 1. So, there is part 2. The other thing you should know is IIUM got a lot of University Requirement Courses. In case you are going to study in IIUM, you should prepare yourself. Some people couldn't graduate just because they failed URC and Co-curriculum.

I'm taking 6 courses this semester. 2 Studio-Based courses are Architectural Design 1 and Architectural Graphic. Others are History and Theory of Architecture, Building, Construction and Material, Quran, Sunnah and Built Environment and last but not least, Land Surveying. I'm taking any URC yet. Even tough I always believe that QSBE is actually more to URC than Kulliyah Requirement Courses. Of course, it's very good to study QSBE because it's a balance. I'm also taking Study Circle 1 or Halaqah 1 this semester. It's considered as Co-curriculum in IIUM. Weird, isn't it? And again of course, it's such a good way to balance our knowledge. So, we get both dunya and akhirah.

After taaruf week, we had Taaruf KAED and then Taaruf Archais. Classes started after Taaruf Kaed. Taaruf Kaed was held in conjunction with KAED Fest. The end of KAED Fest was celebrated with Kaed Raya, even tough by that time we were not in month of Syawal anymore. That's why the event was so called '#EhRayalagi?'.

Taaruf Archais was also known as 'Ihya 2012. Basically, it was held to introduce the 1st year students to Archais (the society for the department of architecture). It wasn't held 5 days straight like Taaruf Kaed. The activities in 'Ihya 2012 were held mostly at nights and weekend so they won't disturb our classes. One of the activities is Project O.

Project O. This sculpture was made by my group for Project O where we were asked to make it based on any famous architect that we know. We chose Frank Ghery and his deconstruction thing. You can google him. He's famous anyway.

Then, I couldn't recall any other activities other than Archais Annual Grand Dinner. So for the dinner, we dressed up. But we didn't really follow the kind of dress code where we actually need to wear something to show what are we going to be if we are not architecture students. Some said 'if we are not becoming architects' theme. If. I didn't know. I thought about it. I couldn't relate with what I'm going to wear, so I wore a simple pink dress. It wasn't overwhelming at all.

I sat at table 22. :)

The whole semester went quite well despite of all the pain from the critic session, sleepless nights and much much more. It's a journey. A journey to a better future. So, what else can I do except bear with all that things. Of course I have lot of thing to share. But yeah, you might be bored reading my blog.

Thanks for reading, anyway!
