Today, I just want to share a story. A short one.
Last Wednesday, me and roommates went to a shopping mall somewhere in Gombak. Just because we wanted to buy things that we ran out of. And yeah, we did some shopping. After done with shopping, we quickly wanted to go back to campus. One of my roommates and I went to find the auto pay station to pay our parking ticket. Once we done with the auto pay station, we wanted to go to where we parked our rental car. So, we needed to wait for the elevator.
The elevator was so slow maybe because it stopped at every level. Never mind. We got it. Once the elevator opened, we waited for some people before we went into the elevator. One middle-aged man was controlling the buttons of the elevator. When I came in, suddenly I stuck between the doors ( I mean 'pintu lif'). I was like 'Eh, eh, eh!'. Of course I was panicked. So it was just for a while, the elevator opened again and I went in and stood at the corner of the elevator.
But then, this old man and his friend laughed. They laughed so loud. The old guy said to his friend 'Eh, did you see that!'. I was like 'what's wrong with this man?'. He did not say sorry for making me stuck. How rude is that?
Usually when I'm in an elevator and I'm the one whose controlling the buttons, I will definitely apologize for not pressing the right button or for making people stuck between the doors.
Oh, you are an old man. And you are that rude. I wonder how you teach your children about manners if you don't do one simple thing which is apologizing to people even tough you don't know them. I bet maybe your parents never teach you, right?
I stood quietly in the elevator but I was actually very angry that time. Only the next morning, I talked about it with my roommate who was with me that time. She actually as angry as I am.
Moral of the story : Apologize when you did something wrong and don't laugh at people. It's so rude.
